The manuscript belongs to the Augustinian monastery of Villa Nova, Pennsylvania. As is the case with many European early manuscripts, e.g., the Yale Birgitta manuscript, it is impossible to discover when or under what circumstances it landed on these shores. It is a long way from the pen of the Augustinian monk who wrote this manuscript in 1431 to William Penn's wellestablished commonwealth in America.
